ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL 2010 RECAP

Saturday the Orisue Crew headed out to Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC). Now in its 14th year, EDC has become North America’s largest electronic music festival, drawing the biggest talent in dance music around the world. The festival this year gathered an estimated 185,000 in attendance over 2 days; to put things in perspective that is significantly more than Coachella’s attendance which averaged 75,000 a day!

This was my 4th year in a row attending EDC, and it’s safe to say their growth has been exponential since my first event. This year we teamed up with Undocumented Management to run a co-branded beach ball at the Cosmic Meadow Stage.

We got to the event pretty early to make sure we got our credentials in order and got to work unleashing the beach balls on the unsuspecting crowd.

The beach balls were a hit! You might see this more often at future festivals.

The best thing about EDC, is the overall production of the entire event. It’s one serious carnival, with all your traditional rides and food along with endless themed performers. You’ll catch anything from midgets dressed like the flying monkeys from the Wizard Of Oz to these hybrid KISS meets Mimes performers.

Harvard Bass was definitely holding down the Cosmic Meadow stage in our Pace T-Shirt in Black.

The big homie, Ras Kass was in the place be, enjoying the open bar in artist hospitality.

MSTRKRFT and Duck Sauce (A-Trak & Armand Van Helden) chillen on stage.

Duck Sauce’s live debut.

Fun to be had by all.

As much as hip-hop is a staple here on the West Coast, dance music also has a very heavy presence as well. Festivals like EDC are great because of how it brings some many different people together and we’re proud and grateful to be apart of it all.

These were only a few pictures we took Saturday, but keep your eyes peeled for a special video we have coming later this week!
