David Choe is a talented Korean American artist born in Los Angeles. His work is revered by many for its incredible detail, use of layering and depictions of sexuality, reverie and nostalgia. Often described as a misguided genius, his work can be seen as a response to the adversity he’s experienced and the triumphs he has had in overcoming them. Every painting and drawing of his tells a story, sometimes pervasive, sometimes funny, but always honest.
