Week 4 is officially here of WE LIKE TO RT! Lets the fun begin….

The Redskins’ showed our Game Time Chris Cooley In Store Event some us some love and posted information for the event at MAJOR and our collab t-shirts on their official team blog yesterday. This will be our first in-store at MAJOR and as Doaner always says, “we’re going to do it big!” Thanks again to Matt who put up the post!

Being located in Southern California, and being without a local NFL team since the mid 90’s (Rams in Anaheim and Raiders in LA), we get the luxury of being able to support a variety of teams and players across the nation. It’s great to follow individual players that really personify Orisue. Washington Redskin & Pro Bowl Tight End Chris Cooley has been a big supporter of us for a while. He’s back this year after an injury, so it was only right that we teamed up with him, and our DC shop MAJOR to do a T-Shirt Collaboration & In Store.

The In Store will be held at MAJOR in Washington DC (1426 Wisconsin Ave NW) on Friday September 10th from 6pm – 8pm. There will be a hosted Belvedere Bar for those 21+, and for anyone under 21 there will be plenty of AMP Energy Drinks.  Chris will be there to sign autographs and meet his fans so make sure you get there early to avoid the lines that are expected.

Along with this in-store we teamed up to release a LIMITED edition shirt for this event sold exclusively at MAJOR and on our online store (9:00 AM PST, 09/10/10). The first shirt takes a spin on our Evolution design and adds a Washington Redskins feather influence. The second shirt is a jersey styled shirt with graphics inspired from a classic playbook sketch with offense vs. defense and one of Chris’ many nicknames Cooooley. Chris’s number 47 on the back.

Sunday, September 12th is OPENING NIGHT for the NFL. The Redskins will be taking on the Dallas Cowboys for Sunday Night Football. Come out, grab the T’s, wish Chris Cooley luck, and have a drink or 3!

On our 4th day in Germany…first day we were in Hannover doing a huge national TV program called The Dome. It was the 55th edition and included Taio Cruz and Jason Derulo.  David Hasselhoff was also in the building with his 2 daughters performing. It was a crowd of over 10,000 teenage girls all screaming like crazy.

Next day we headed to Berlin and took a tour of the city which is beautiful. Mike got recognized twice!

Last night we headed to Halle, Germany a very small town to the east. Heard “Cooler Than Me” on the radio and saw video on MTV! I’m sitting at Jump Radio right now while Mike is doing interviews. We head back to Berlin later today and then Stuttgart for more radio promo.

September has officially fallen upon us. Marking the point when  Summer has ended and it’s time to change up those tanks for some long sleeve shirts.  Luckily for us being based in Southern California, we usually have an extended Summer for a few months that we get to slip in some additional BBQ’s, Outdoor Dining & Rooftop Parties.  Wherever you fit in the climate scale, we made our Orisue OTunes Playlist to help you get through this month with some audible treats.  ENJOY!

With our Fall Drop 1 in our Online Store and summer quickly coming to a close, it’s only right we brought back our “Sneak Peak” post we did last month so you can see Milthorpe Jacket, Lansing V-Neck, Hopesborough Hooded Button-Up and Urist Button-Up highlighted together.  Fall is quickly approaching so make sure you head over to our Online Store for all your Orisue needs.

	The Milthorpe Jacket was a very popular jacket that we released previously this year as part of our Spring collection. We decided to bring the jacket back for fall using a light weight nylon. The Milthorpe is offered in two colorways, gray and white. The back of the jacket is highlighted by shoulder ribbing accents that give the jacket a very sporty look. The great thing about the Milthorpe is how versatile it is. There are contrasting zippers that really give the jacket a lot of personality. You can get a great look by wearing the jacket open and exposing the brightly colored front zipper, or tone it down a bit by wearing the jacket zipped and buttoned up. The Lansing V-Neck has easily become a staple style that appears each season. It seems like v-necks are the new white tee, but the problem is you can never find them in enough colors. We carried over the stock black, heather and white colors and also added a rich navy, brown, maroon, and charcoal. With these selection of colors you’ll be good to go for any occasion. Collar details have been slightly modified from previous seasons by adding a more refined button detail. Orisue tonal embroidery has also been added to the left breast.
	The Hopesborough Hooded Button-Up is made of a thick poly cotton fabric. It is available in a black colorway. The weight of the garment makes for a great layering piece. Slightly larger buttons give the shirt an outerwear feel. The hood is made of french terry and can easily be removed, and the Hopesborough flawlessly becomes a regular button-up shirt!
You can’t help but feel that sometimes the regular t-shirt and jeans get-up just isn’t enough. Maybe you want to dress it up a bit by adding a button-up on top. Plaids and flannels seem to be the go-to and of course we got those on lock, but sometimes you need to switch it up. Our Urist Button-Up is offered in 2 colors, gray and brown, certainly stands out from the crowd of plaids and flannels. The Urist is made from 100% cotton micro-herringbone pattern and features contrasting colored buttons. There is also an Orisue branded embroidery on the right breast. The Urist is finished off with some very unique pocket detailing. Overlapping pockets on left breast and a solitary pocket on the right breast. Both Gray & Brown Colorways are available in our Online Store.

If you thought picking out a contest winner is easy, then trying to sort out over 2,000 LIKES on Facebook and roughly the same amount of RT’s on Twitter for the Second week of our WE LIKE TO RT Contest.  This contest has grown extremely fast, and it’s 100% because of you dedication to our brand, our apparel, our message and our social media networks.  So it is only right as this contest continues to evolve , so does the uniqueness of the prizes  – so keep an eye out! Sometimes we will announce the prize when we announce the winner , sometimes we’ll announce it at the beginning of the week.  You never know, we’ll try to keep it funky and fresh for you guys to keep this movement going into the Fall Season!

WEEK 3 of WE LIKE TO RT STARTS NOW…which only means this week is going to be craziest yet! The rules are the same as before, and WEEK 3 contest winners will be announced next Monday – GOOD LUCK!!

Redbull is known for throwing some of the craziest events. One particular event, is the Redbull Flugtag. Once a year, Redbull goes on a multi city tour to find the best homeade human-powered flying machine. They takeover an open bay or lake, set up a 30-40 ft pier, and fill the place with a 90,000+ audience, and choose 34-38 teams to create and push their “Craft” off the platform. Last weekend, I went out to Long Beach, CA to check out the event, as it was the venue chosen for Southern California.

Our good buddies Shaun and Aaron Guardado were chosen by the City of Long Beach to help build a rendition of the famous LB Aircraft, the Spruce Goose. You may remember Shaun and Aaron from the Demolition Derby we covered about a year back. These guys are always looking to be involved with new things, so they were honored to build a Craft for Long Beach Flugtag.

Although Aaron and Shaun’s craft didn’t win, they were one of the only few that stayed intact the whole way down, and actually “floated.” Check out some pics that Aaron captured throughout the day on his modded iPhone.

Thousands of people took over Rainbow Harbor to watch. You may remember Rainbow Harbor from Travis Pastrana’s New Years Eve jump this past year.

US Coast Guard came by to give a demo before the event started. Helicopters are so rad!

Packing for two weeks in Germany, France and England is a daunting task.  I’m trying to keep it light.  2 pairs of pants, 2 pairs of shorts, 15 shirts, 15 socks, 15 boxers.  Heading over there to do international promo, press and shows for my client Mike Posner.  Got a major TV performance in Germany called The Dome , got a club performance in Berlin on Saturday, got a big club night in London called Yo Yo with my man Seb Chew next week and got an invite-only showcase in Paris next week as well.

I’ve been to London before but never to Germany or France so I’m definitely looking forward to taking in the sights, sounds and food!  I love traveling overseas because I’m always thinking, “What Would Anthony Bourdain Do?”  Only thing I don’t like are the flights; I’m 6′4″ and coach international is not what’s poppin.  Somehow I usually manage to finagle an upgrade but we will see.

Anyway, I will check in with you guys next week and let you know how it goes
