2010 is about to end, and we are officially a full decade into the new millennium. We’d like to end the year in a review of some highlights from Orisue and give you a sneak peak on some of the new things coming in 2011 . So sit back, and take a trip down memory lane with us.
2010 IN REVIEW
1. Office Move

2010 marked the year we moved from Orange to Irvine. With a larger space and dedicated offices for all departments, it showed a huge growth for Orisue as a company and of things to come.

Another bench mark was our product placement game (better known as SPOTTED on the blog). From looks such as Mike Posner, 50 Cent, The Game, Bun B, Rick Ross, Mac Miller, all the way to NBA players like Josh Childress and Kevin Durant and NFL players the likes of Sedrick Ellis and Remi Ayodele; we’re glad the brand is getting recognition from the music and professional sports world.
3. Marketing Team Expansion

2010 saw a heavy expansion to the Marketing Team and welcomed in Richard, Jason, Mikey and Todd. This new “dream team” is going to be the source of many new developments for 2011 (scroll down below to get a glimpse)
The motto of 2010 was RETHINK EVERYTHING, so we had to start at home with that. Last month we re-launched a revised web store to better facilitate a smoother online shopping experience and tons of social media tools for you to share your favorite items with your friends.
5. Rise of Social Media Contests / Online Exclusives
Our fans are of the utmost importantance, so we wanted to provide them a unique contest experience. Launching strictly on our social media platforms was our WE LIKE TO RT Weekly Contest (just LIKE or RT to enter), Facebook Exclusive Items (Goodwood Bracelet), and Social Media exclusive sales (PRE Black Friday). Our little way of saying thank you.
7. NFL Chris Cooley (Washington Redskins) Limited Edition TSHIRT & In-Store

Projects like these are always fun, especially when they happen with such great individuals and athletes such as Chris Cooley. We were fortunate enough to do a limited edition TSHIRT and In-Store (@ MajorDC) with DC’s own Chris Cooley. Apparently it’s a hot ticket item on EBAY now.
8. Fall Season

Our Fall 2010 Season was the largest to date, and had the industry a buzz. Minus a few all nighters in the office, the season broke expectations for for everyone from pure size to design.
9. Success of Friends & Family

As we’ve been fortunate to grow and see success, so have our friends and family. Early in 2010 Far East Movement signed a major label record deal with Cherry Tree/Interscope Records, had one of the biggest songs of 2010 that topped iTunes and Billboard charts and released their first full length album, Free Wired. Fashawn is another long time Orisue family member, initially built on the success of 2009′s Boy Meets World and followed up with the critically acclaimed Nas Tribute Tape “Odd To Illmatic” presented by Us & XXLMag. congratulations guys, bing things ahead in 2011.
2011 PREVIEW
We decided to open the vault and give you a sneak preview of some great editions coming to our website and brand in 2011….remember SHHHHH it’s a secret.
1. Website Relaunch
In 2011 we are slated for a brand new website relaunch. With technology changing so rapidly, we have to adopt as well. The new site will have tons of new functionality and tools for you to use and enjoy, providing you a new way of experiencing a brand digitally.
2. New Contests & Bigger Prizes
WE LIKE TO RT scratched the surface of what we have in store for 2011. With new contests and bigger prizes, we want to provide all of our new and old fans a way to get involved.
3. More Exclusives & Special Projects
The excitement and buzz that our limited edition Orisue x Goodwood bracelet provided is only a start for what we are going to be working on this coming year. Special projects are lining up for 2011 so keep it locked here (get that newsletter subscribed!).
4. Technology, Technology, Technology
We can’t say that word enough, and that’s all we can say at this time, just trust we have some tricks up our sleeves.
Thanks again for all your support in 2010, we couldn’t have done this without you. Happy New Years.
